NSU ECE Team Champion Of “Solve a Thon” Dhaka District Organized by Ministry of ICT and A2i (Access to Information)

Solve-A Thon- Winner - Spring 2016 - 1Congratulations to A.S.M. Muktadiru Baized Shuvo, Fatin Hasnath Chowdhury, S. M. Hasibul Hoq, members of the NSU ECE team, who  won the Championship in “Solve-a-Thon” Dhaka District competition organized by Ministry of ICT and A2i (Access to Information)

Ministry of ICT with A2i prime minister’s office started a Nationwide Innovation Campaign “Solve-a-thon” where participants presented their projects to solve major problems of our country. On 28th January 2016, Digital Innovation Fair 2016 provided the venue for the Dhaka district Solve-a-thon, where North South University participated with 30 other university projects and was awarded the champion of Dhaka district solve-a-thon.

North South University team also won the “Best invention” and “Best young inventor” Award. The project was about a Smartphone or Joystick controlled Wheel chair. Using the chair a patient can move the chair without anyone’s help. Team members are A.S.M. Muktadiru Baized Shuvo, Fatin Hasnath Chowdhury, S. M. Hasibul Hoq. All of the members are students of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North South University. The  invention got attention from various national newspapers including Dhaka Tribute.
