Biography

Abdullah-Al-Zubaer Imran currently holds a lecturer position (currently on leave for higher study) as a core faculty of Computer Science and Engineering in the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at North South University (NSU). He received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering securing First Class First position from Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) in 2012. And he completed MS in Computer Science from Delaware State University in 2016 with the focus on machine learning and research in medical imaging.

Abdullah-Al-Zubaer Imran has more than four years of experience in original research and teaching computer science courses. After completing his BSc degree, he was engaged in teaching both upper and lower level computer science courses subsequently at Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) and Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology (AUST). Before joining at NSU, he worked as a Research Assistant in the Medical Imaging and Simulation (MEDIS) Lab at Delaware State University under the joint supervision of Prof. David Pokrajac and Prof. Predrag Bakic (UPenn). During his research assistantship, he participated in an NIH-funded breast cancer research project as an employee of Delaware State.

Abdullah-Al-Zubaer Imran’s research is focused on the development of virtual tools for validating novel imaging systems. He actively collaborates with some of the most proficient researchers and scientists in the field of medical imaging. He has collaborators from Delaware State University, X-ray Physics Lab at the University of Pennsylvania, Technical University of Varna, and the University of Leuven.
