Mohammad A. Khan

I am an assistant professor at North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. My research focuses on using AI, Machine Learning, Distributed Systems, and Social Networks for improving industrial processes.

Education

I finished my undergraduate in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Then I started my Ph.D. in Network Security at Depaul University, Chicago, IL. Later, I changed the research topic to Mobile Distributed Computing and went to New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, NJ. I worked on integrating new understandings of Social Networks and Machine Learning to Mobile Distributed Computing.

Research

We are currently working on improving industrial performance using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. We have two active projects: improving the traveler's experiences on the roads and improving the working place for the Ready-Made Garments (RMG) industry. For the first project, we are working on modeling the road cracks and vibration experienced by Dhaka's car/bus/motorcycle riders (the capital of Bangladesh). For the second project, we are working on modeling the working steps and general work experiences of the workers of the RMG industry.
