    ECE Workshop on “TIZEN Applicatyion Development” BY SAMSUNG R&D BANGLADESH

      In collaboration with Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh (SRBD), the Department of Electrical and computer Engineering and IEEE North South University Student Branch (INSB) recently organized a technical workshop on “TIZEN OS”, the latest mobile and smart watch operating system developed by Samsung. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Raquibul Hasan, Chief Engineer, Mobile Software Group also the Team Lead of Tizen Advanced Wearable Device group. The workshop included an introduction to the architecture and platform of Tizen OS, scopes and application of Tizen in the upcoming future.     ECE students’ work ‘Skin Disease Detector’ featured in national daily news

    Congratulations to Rahat Yasir, Md Ashiqur Rahman and Dr Nova Ahmed of the Department of ECE, who took up the altruistic venture to create the app named ‘Skin Disease Detector.’ The app is able to detect the probable skin disease of a human body by analyzing the symptoms. It  aims to detect nine kinds of skin diseases including Eczema, Acne, Leprosy, Psoriasis, Scabies, Foot Ulcer Vitiligo, Tinea Corporis and Pityriasis Rosea.
