An interactive information session on Bangladesh-Japan ICT Engineers Training Program(BJET) by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) was held at North South University premises on Dec 08th, 2018.
The session aimed to discuss the job opportunities in Japan for the students of Electrical and Computer Engineering Department (ECE) through BJET training program.
The purpose of the BJET program is to develop skilled ICT Engineers to work in Japanese IT company with the Japanese language, IT skill, and soft skill such as Japanese business manners.
Some of the distinguished speakers of this session were
1) Mr. Yuki Morishita (JICA Expert, Head of B-JET Admin Team),
2) Mohammad Shamsus Saleehin (Manager, HR and Admin, BJIT Ltd. B-JET Program Coordinator)
3) Safkat Arefin, an NSU Alumni, Graduate, BJET 4th Batch.
The session provided a brief idea about how the BJET trainee software engineer program reaches out to fresh graduates from different universities in Bangladesh, grooms graduates in Japanese customs and manners and helps building a career in Japan.
The session was conducted by SEPS Career Development & Industry Outreach Program at NSU, Headed by Mr. Shaikh Shawon Arefin Shimon, Lecturer, ECE Department, with the help of Career & Placement Center (CPC) at NSU and NSU Computer & Engineering Club (NSUCEC)
