Biography
Acramul Haque Kabir is a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North South University. He received his M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Utah, where he specialized in computational biology and bioinformatics, and his B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST), Bangladesh.
His research focuses on understanding complex disease mechanisms through integrative computational and experimental approaches. His work spans cancer biology, bioinformatics, and biomedical data science, with particular expertise in RNA sequencing, genome-wide association studies (GWAS), and CRISPR-based techniques. He has contributed to research on pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), combining high-throughput sequencing analysis with molecular biology methods to investigate disease progression and identify potential therapeutic targets. His research has resulted in peer-reviewed publications and conference contributions.
Prior to joining North South University, he worked as a Research Associate at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and as a Research Assistant at the University of Utah, where he collaborated in multidisciplinary teams on cutting-edge biomedical research. In addition to his research, he has extensive teaching experience in areas such as embedded systems, analog electronics, biomaterials, and tissue engineering. He is committed to fostering interdisciplinary learning and mentoring students in both academic and research settings.
