Bangladesh is an agriculture based country. Both water and electricity are very important aspects to keep upward rise in efficiency of the agricultural sector. As there is a shortage of both electricity and water, farmers are finding it very difficult to water their crops properly. Thus, we came up with the project of Solar Powered Automated Irrigation System.
At first we store the solar energy into the battery through solar panel. We measure the moisture of the soil with the help of moisture sensor. Depending on this value, the pump will turn ON or OFF. When the moisture sensor read the condition of the soil is dry, it will automatically turn ON the pump with the help of energy stored in the battery through solar panel. After some time, when the field get enough water, the moisture sensor read the moisture value of the soil and turn OFF the pump automatically. Here we also use a temperature and humidity sensor that will give us the information of weather.
