Our project focuses on developing a model which can be used to attain blood glucose level in a non invasive way. Frequent usage of a blood glucose meter can be costly as it requires a new test strip to be used everytime. Some people also suffer from hemophobia which causes severe fear of blood. Our goal was to make blood sugar measurement easier specially for these people. PPG, also known as Photoplethysmogram data is collected from the subjects fingertip using a smartphone. The obtained signal is then processed and features are extracted which are then used to create our model.
