Biography
I joined North South University in Summer 2018 as a Full-time faculty of Computer Science in Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE). After graduating with a B.Sc in CSE from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) in 2011 – I spent nearly 10 years in Academia & Industry in various roles spanning from Software Engineer to Teaching/Research Assistant & Faculty. Currently I am on leave from NSU to pursue a Ph.D in Computer Science at University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. More info about my current research group can be found here.
Before joining as a Computer Science faculty in NSU – I worked in various software engineering roles in Mobile Devices (Samsung Electronics, Dhaka, Bangladesh) and Electronic Design Automation (Keysight Technologies , Santa Rosa, CA, USA) industry.
I also spent time as a graduate research assistant working in Mobile Interaction / HCI area in Ruiz Lab under supervision of Dr. Jaime Ruiz while pursuing my masters at Colorado State University, Fort Collins, CO USA. As a Graduate Research Assistant in Ruiz Lab (Currently in University of Florida, Gainsville) – I published & presented first author conference papers at CHI 2016 (San Jose, CA) and MobileHCI 2015 (Copenhagen, Denmark). At CSU, I also worked as a teaching assistant in Computer Science Department from Fall 2014 to Spring 2015 teaching Computer Organizations (Dr. Chris Wilcox, Jack Applin) and Java (Dr. Asa-Ben Hur, Dr. Charles Anderson).
I am well experienced in Agile SCRUM/XP/Kanban, Incremental / RAD / V-model Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Version Controlling, Software Project Management / Bug tracking / Quality Assurance process, and well-acquainted with Continuous Integration / Deployment (CI/CD) & build automation process. As a software engineer – I received best employee award at SRBD for Software Development work on Samsung Rex 70 Middle East Asia (MEA) release in 2013.

Please read the guideline for communicating with me as a current NSU student.
Note: A great way to understand if a faculty is a good fit for working with on research is to do a course under him.
If you already have done a course under him/her, you are well aware of the faculty’s supervision style and the faculty is well aware of your potential as a hard worker.
