Overview

The broad area of “Semiconductor Device and Technology” covers a variety of research areas including solid-state devices and physics, device characterization, semiconductor material properties and intrinsic parameters, and device testing. More specifically, this area includes analytical and numerical modeling of devices, device performance and parameters such as mobility improvement, Moore’s Law based device scaling, device architectural improvement and innovation, and reduced substrate temperature operation for leakage current reduction. Other topics of interest are MOSFET comprehensive modeling and device performance improvement by reliability assessment. It also includes microelectronic circuits and Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS).
