On Nov 05th, Brac IT Services (BiTS) signed an MOU with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) on academia-industry collaboration. Under this MOU, BiTS will conduct career workshops, on-campus recruitments, tech seminars at NSU geared towards the students of ECE department, and also look at ways to collaborate on research projects, utilizing academia expertise from ECE.
Dr. Arshad M Chowdhury, Dean, School of Engineering and Physical Sciences (SEPS) and AK Sabbir Mahbub, Acting CEO, Brac IT Services Limited, signed the MoU on behalf of NSU ECE and BiTS respectively. Mohammad Shahadat Kabir (VP & Head of Project Management, BiTS), Arif-Uz-Zaman (VP & Head of Microfinance Solutions, BiTS), Ismat Jaha(Head of HR, BiTS ) and Md. Tasaufur Rahman (Associate Manager, BiTS), Dr. M. Khasro Miah (Director, Career Placement Services, NSU) and Shaikh Shawon Arefin Shimon (Lecturer, ECE, NSU) were also present in the ceremony.
During the signing ceremony, both parties exchanged views on possible ways of interconnecting academia and industry and talked about future possible events at NSU in collaboration with ECE department.
